That is true. This edition of Linares was nonsense. Vladimir, why haven't you played? It you have been so nice to give Topalov a lesson just before his unfair (he doesn't deserve it) against Anand. Anyway, I am looking forward seing your games in Monaco and I wish you the best for this tournament. Go Vladimir!

I'm watching the Linares games these days, but I am somewhat deluded. Few participants, although quality players, fighting chess but...Vlad,where are you?^^

In any tournament in which every game would be started WITHOUT the Queens on d1 and d8 Vladi Borissovich would win with nearly a 100%-score -- his technical capabilities are really impressive -- maybe the best "technician" in the whole History of Chess. But unfortunately these queens give the game sometimes a tactical aspect in which maybe Carlsen excels even more than "Krammi" .. Nevertheless : it is always a pleasure to replay his games -- and after the end of his chess-career (hopefully still some time to come ..) he should start with the Asian strategic game of GO : I am sure he would even master that !

Maybe he shouldn't use the Petroff so often, but I do not believe it a problem. As Kramnik himself said, in this tournament NO OPENING ever worked, not white nor black ones, in any game. He's an unbelievable champion, that explains his huge scoresheet^^. I think the Petroff is very solid and reliable, and it just needs some new ideas from time to time, like all the openings :). Regards

Kramnik should not always use Petrov against e4.

Congratulations on the awesome tournament performance, coroned with the jewels against Carlsen and Nakamura. A real pity for the loss vs Anand, but you really had too many difficult black games (Carlsen,Shirov then immediately after Anand), a loss is a possibility. Despite the schedule, an excellent result. A very impressed long-time fan :).

Giant win today vs team carlsen+kasparov's database ;o) Destroyed with black and in relatively few moves, and nicest game of corus 2010 so far. When you play like this, i really enjoy the game of chess. Go go go!

Some wonderful games in London. Well played!

Well, what to say? London classic was after all a positive tourney for you, with some little elo gained. And it is more than evident that howell, adams and ni hua are clearly underrated, so the true performance is fairly beyond 2800. Neverthless it was pity the game vs carlsen, after the opening you were simply slightly better; i hoped so much you to win as in moscow he already escaped the loss. Btw now you will play corus, 13 rounds. WIN CORUS AGAIN, for some reasons you have won this tourney only one time; too few times.

I cannot stop playing and replaying your games of this year, in particular Dortmund and Tal Memorial that just ended...Your play redefines the concept of "Master". Congratulations, for me you are and always will be the champion.

Well done champ! Another strong tourney won, another show of what you can do when you are motivated. It is a paradox but likely the loss of the title it has been a blessing for you: since that time, you simply WON all the events you took part in (except amber melody, where you were 2nd...). It's time to win the london tourney and the job is done.

Before you'll play the last round at Tal Memorial. I hope you'll read this: "Please play very solid. Maybe a draw is enough to win the first place. But if you see winning chances, destroy Ivanchuk. You're my absolute idol in chess. Your strategy in chess is unmatched. All time best. This is true. Please, dont forget to play chess with the last round. Your victory is our victory. You deserve to win the tournament.Thank you very much Vlady my ultimate idolin chess!(S.C. of Philippines)

Vladimir, the way you are playing at Tal Memorial is terrific! It's good you play super-agressively again both with Black and White, just like you used to before the match with Kasparov. I really, really like it! I keep following every game you are playing at TM, even if the analysts at ChessPro do not always decide commenting on your games. I wish you more nice wins at the event and become the world rating leader! I cannot say I am satisfied with your employing the Petroff in any game with Black against 1 e4, but it's more the matter of taste; however, I think it gives you less chance to win with Black. May be, it's quite the right choice with such a strong opposition that you have to face. I don't know...
